Capella Achieves Certificataion for New ISO 9001:2008

Capella upgrades quality system to meet new ISO standards

SAN JOSE, CA – April 27, 2009 – Capella Intelligent Subsystems, the leading provider of subsystems for use in reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer (ROADM) and Optical Crossconnect (OXC) applications, today announced it has achieved the new ISO 9001:2008 certification. The certificate was awarded by Det Norske Veritas Certification, Inc., an ANAB accredited registrar.

Capella is one of the first organizations to receive the ISO 9001:2008 certification upgrade. The award follows an independent periodic audit of Capella’s operations, management and quality systems performed by registrar, Det Norske Veritas Certification, Inc. ISO certification is frequently used in both private and public sectors to increase confidence in the products and services provided by certified organizations, between partners in business-to-business relations, in the selection of vendors in supply chains and in the right to tender for procurement contracts.
