ELECTRICAL ENGINEER/ ENTRY LEVEL (Job Requisition: EE04)

Capella is looking for an entry level Electronics engineer. In this position, the qualified individual will use their skills in developing lab procedures, modifying analog/digital electronic circuitry, performing test and analysis of state of the art electrical/electronic equipment, and test control systems and components in a team-oriented R&D environment. The ideal candidate for this position will have hands-on laboratory experience with electrical test equipment, programming abilities in Visual Basic, C/C++ and/or Labview and a strong desire to understand complex and obscure technical issues in newly released products. We expect you to have experience and skills both in defining and conducting necessary tests, software verification, validation and documentation, and possess a strong ability to interact with customers, vendors and other technical team members. You’ll enjoy investigating product failures and performing root cause analysis, including managing the data captured and the final reports generated. Some travel may be required.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Qualified candidate will have BS Electrical Engineering, and/or equivalent discipline or experience
Demonstrative experience testing and troubleshooting digital, analog and mixed-signal circuit board assemblies to component level
Working knowledge of electronic test equipment to include: oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.
Ability to support test automation for analog, power, and digital testing
Demonstrative experience in technical writing of work instructions, flow tags, and the interpretation of engineering documentation
Demonstrative experience on a team engineering/product project required
Competent in computer skills including Microsoft Office, and Orcad
Experience in programming including LabVIEW, Visual Basic , C/C++ and Matlab a plus
Experience with telecommunication product requirements and operations a plus
