Capella was founded in 2000. Privately held and located in San Jose, California, Capella has a seasoned management team with experience from leading telecom and technology companies. Additionally Capella has an extensive intellectual property portfolio with 27 patents issued and over 30 pending.

The company has been funded by leading ventures funds including Formative Ventures, Levensohn Venture Partners, Lucas Venture Partners, Rustic Canyon Partners and Silicon Valley Bank.
